How do I access the Republishing Tool and find content I can republish?
To use the Republishing Tool, your organisation must hold an FT republishing licence and you must be added to it. Once added, you can access the tool by:
- Clicking the Republishing button in the FT.com global navigation, or
- Visiting www.ft.com/republishing/contract
.
You can then browse FT.com to find content. Most articles will display a republishing indicator dot next to the headline. The colour of this indicator shows whether the content is available for download and republishing by your organisation.
To check availability:
- Click the republishing indicator.
- A message will confirm if the content is eligible for republication and outline any restrictions.
- If available, a Download button will appear - click it to save the content to your device.
- If a Save button is shown, clicking it will add the item to your Saved Items list in the Republishing Tool for later review and download.
Not all FT.com content is available for republication. Availability depends on FT's rights to the content and your organisation’s specific contract. If no republishing indicator is shown, the article is not available for republication.
The following sections of FT.com are excluded from republication:
- Alphaville
- Due Diligence
- How to Spend It
- Investors Chronicle
- Live blogs
- Markets Data
- Nikkei reporters
- Nikkei Asian Review
- Scout Asia
