What are my cancellation rights?
Online-Only Subscriptions
If your subscription does not include newspaper deliveries, it will start immediately once your order is accepted. As access is provided straight away, you will not be eligible for a refund if you change your mind. You can cancel at any time, but your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
Newspaper or Bundled Subscriptions
If your subscription includes newspaper delivery (with or without digital access), you have 14 days from receiving your first newspaper to cancel for a full refund, minus the cost of any newspapers already delivered.
After this 14-day period, you can still cancel at any time, but your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period. Refunds are not available beyond the initial cancellation window.
Refunds
If you are eligible for a refund, we will process it within 14 days of receiving your cancellation request. Refunds will be made using your original payment method, with no additional fees. Any newspapers received do not need to be returned.
How to cancel
Digital subscriptions
If you have a Standard Digital subscription, Premium Digital subscription or Digital Trial you can do this online by visiting the 'Subscription' tab in My Account and selecting the 'Cancel subscription' option.
Note: All cancellations will be processed at the end of your current subscription term.
Print or Print + Digital subscriptions
For all other subscription types, please contact our Customer Care team using live chat or phone.
Please have the following information available:
- Your full name (or the person on the billing information if different from the user)
- The Account email address or Account Number (Customer Reference Number)
- The billing address or delivery address (including zip code/postcode)
- Your contact telephone number
Note: All cancellations will be processed at the end of your current subscription term.
