Why do I need to update my device to use the FT app?

To ensure the FT app works securely, and to enable continued rollout of new features, the FT can only support older mobile operating systems for a limited period of time. 

The FT App supports mobile devices running on these operating systems or higher: 

• iOS 14.0 and above (iPhone & iPad)
• Android 8.0 and above

Alternatively, you can still access FT.com using your preferred web browser.

Already on Android 8.0 or above?
If you’re on Android 8.0 or later and are seeing a message saying your OS is unsupported, please update the FT app in the Play Store.
